Deep into 2019, the Microsoft Data and AI teams made an announcement that created excitement and left the data analytics community on the edge of their seats in anticipation of the much awaited Azure Synapse Analytics and the quantifiable features available in the Studio.

Azure Synapse Workspace was released for public review mid-2020!

Azure Synapse Analytics is Microsoft’s cloud data warehouse platform, providing an end-to-end solution for the full data stack. Integrating a number of disparate technologies enabling collaborative operation thereby creating a full solution - including data lake, warehouse, pipelines, machine learning and visualization - in one development platform. Building a full analytical solution which can now be done through one interface with Azure Synapse Analytics. The landscape, illustrated below, demonstrates the facilitation of architecture design and the development of a Modern Data Warehouse
